I once read an article saying that how much money one must have to be considered Rich? It made me think for a while. Considering that when you talk to someone and ask them, are you rich? One answer is always present. I’m not. But in reality, everyone wishes to be rich, including me of course. But how much money should I accumulate so that I can consider myself as rich or wealthy?
If we’re going to base it on money alone, we can try this Global Rich List Wealth Calculator. By entering your annual income in dollars (easiest would be Monthly Salary x 13 then divide by 47), then click Show Me the Money. It will then show you where your current standing (in percentage) compared to the rest of the people of the world.
Nice to know that I belong to the top 13% of the world population. But then again, it will all be useless whether I’m earning P100,000 a month if my monthly expenses is P120,000. That would be negative value. Compared to an entry level employee earning P8,000 per month but is able to save P6,000, that is far better than earning P100,00 but spending P120,000. Thing is, its not how much you earn. But its how much you SAVE.
