As a sequel to my first post “My 1st Adsense Earning”, now comes my “2nd Adsense Payout from Google, Inc.”
Let me first give you a brief background on how it all started before giving the details of my earnings.
Everything started as a trial and error way back 2006. Just to see how it will work since I’m in the Web Development Industry and simply out of curiosity, I set up my own blog. (How to Setup Blog and Earn Money) It did gave me $2.64 on my first month, without really taking it seriously.
Then after that, I totally forgot about it. Until it was featured in Mel and Joey how certain Filipinos at my age are earning around $1,000 a month and more. That puzzled me and intrigued my curiousity. At that time, eventhough I’m not updating my blogs, I was surprised to see that my adsense earnings rose to $44 something.
It was just March 2008 that I took blogging seriously and it’s kinda addicting. I’ll discuss more on my blogs and different ways how I earn in my next posts. Now, I can say that it’s really paying off. My target is to make it $1,000 a month and I know that is now far from reality. 😀
Below is the history of my earnings via Google Adsense alone:
Mar 2006 – Feb 2008 : $44.45
Mar 2008 : $20.49
Apr 2008 : $42.84 ————- Payout $107.78 (May 30, 2008)
May 2008 : $62.66
Jun 2008 : $148.50 ———— Payout $211.08 (July 31, 2008)
Jul 2008 : Will be concluded Aug 1, 2008 Manila time — Payout (Aug 30, 2008)
From the history alone, you can see the increase. Month of March at $0.68/day, April at $1.4/day. May averaged at $2/day. June is almost $5/day. For July, its $6/day. Hope I could reach $35/day so that I could reach my goal of $1,000 a month.
You must be asking, why is it that I got my payout a month after? Simply because, that’s how Google designed it to be, hehe. So you’ll just get your earnings of the month on the succeeding month.
Below is the screenshot I received from Google, Inc. that I used to receive my payment thru Western Union. Also in the picture is the actual Money I got out of Western Union.
I got the $200 in dollar, and the remaining converted into Peso. Current exchange was P43.95 – 1$ that day. I also forgot to mention that now, Western Union charges some 0.015% for documentary stamps. That is about $0.31662 or P14.
